Gemini Beco Baby Carrier

The Gemini Baby Carrier promises to be a great addition to the line of baby carriers from Beco. Some of its features include the ability to carry your baby in 4 different positions: front facing in, front facing forward, hip carry, and back carry. This is a change from the Butterfly 2 which does not allow a forward facing front carry or a hip carry. The hip carry does not offer an even distribution of weight across both shoulders, but gives parents another option while wearing their baby. The forward facing front carry is one that can be controversial in the babywearing community due to the fact that a baby can become overstimulated in this position. We recommend using this position on a limited basis, when the chance of overstimulation is low. Pay attention to the mood and temperament of your baby before using this position. In our experience babies are quite content to gaze up at their mother of father when being worn on the front facing in. They can hear your heartbeat and be comforted by looking at your face.
